Dr Kofi Osei-Kusi
Dr Kofi Osei-Kusi is a business entrepreneur, a speaker and a life coach who has dedicated his life to youth development.
He was recently awarded the Foundation Philanthropist of Ghana for the Year 2017 by the National Philanthropy Forum. He was the winner of the prestigious SME Ghana High Impact Personality Award in 2016; the winner of the African Youth Special Recognitions Award in 2016, and was voted by the Young Professionals and Youth Coalition of Ghana (YPYC) in 2015 as the Young Professional Role Model in youth development and empowerment. For two consecutive years, he has been shortlisted as one of 30 Heroes of Change by the MTN Ghana Foundation.
He serves as Executive President of the Osei-Kusi Foundation (OKF), which is an award-winning foundation providing mentoring, coaching, scholarships, leadership and rural outreaches to support the youth population. OKF runs the biggest platform in Ghana for volunteerism among tertiary students, giving students ¢10,000 to undertake various innovative projects.
He is the Managing Consultant of OKF Consult, and the Chancellor of GH Media School.
He has a spontaneous gift and flair with young people, which together create an unforgettable experience for his audience, all of whom he encourages to rise to their full potential.
For more than two decades, he has been involved in the training and raising of hundreds of leaders through leadership seminars, training programmes and one-to-one coaching, as well as through his personal development books. His proprietary team-building technique—which notably has been used by a number of firms—is fast becoming the tool of choice for corporate bodies that seek to gel their teams in mind of achieving peak performance.
Dr Osei-Kusi has authored 18 books. He is a weekly columnist for the Business & Financial Times newspaper in Ghana and a regular guest on GTV and other television talk shows, including ‘WISDOM FILLA’, which is a weekly TV broadcast produced by the Osei-Kusi Foundation for the youth.
He is happily married to Jackie, and they are blessed with three lively children.
Mrs. Kakra Benefo Asante
Mrs. Kakra Benefo is the Vice President of OKF. As the Vice President and a youth coach, she guides many young people to effectively set and work towards achieving their goals. She also inspires young people to bring out their maximum potentials.
Kakra holds a BSc. degree in Family and Consumer Science from the University of Ghana and an MBA in Project Management. She has worked with OKF since the office was established in 2011 and has contributed significantly to the rapid growth of the Foundation to date. She loves to serve God and people.
Prince is passionate about young people. His desire is to see young people enlightened and changed positively to impact their world. He is the Administrative Manager of OKF and also serves as a youth coach.
Prince holds a Tertiary Diploma in Accounting from the University of Professional Studies, Accra, and a degree in Banking & Finance from the same institution.
Outreach/Missions Team Leader
Gabriel is passionate about serving God and drawing masses to the knowledge and fear of God. He is an excellent speaker and organiser who regularly leads the OKF team of volunteers and staff on rural missions and outreaches to deprived communities. His desire is to see transformation in the lives of rural folks and ensuring that their material and spiritual needs are met through the support of the Foundation together with its partners.
Ex-WO1 Kingsley Nortey
Ex-Wo1 Kingsley Nortey is the Project Officer of OKF. He serves as liaison officer between OKF and many of our beneficiaries; often visiting, counselling, encouraging and supplying items to our beneficiaries at the School for the Blind, School for the Deaf, and the prisons. He is a fantastic team player who has committed the rest of his life to the development of the youth and raising quality future leaders.
Ex-Wo1 Nortey is a retired distinguished serviceman. He was enlisted into the Ghana Army on 1 December 1974 and retired after 30 years of dedicated service to his country and the world. While in service, he successfully participated in various peace keeping operations including missions to Lebanon, Liberia, Sierra Leone and the Democratic Republic of Congo, and also received special training in Canada at the Field Artillery School, New Brunswick, where he was adjudged the most outstanding personnel on the programme.
Vida Osei Mensah
Client Relations Officer
Vida has a warm and pleasant personality and an infectious smile that resonates well with the clients of the Foundation. Her role as Client Relations Officer involves managing and maintaining an excellent relationship between the Foundation and its members. She also serves as a liaison officer between the foundation, corporate partners, and the general public. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Information Studies and Economics from the University of Ghana.
