Dr. Joyce R. Aryee

Stateswoman

Dr. Joyce Aryee is a Ghanaian former politician, business executive and minister. Dr. Aryee is recognized for having served Ghana for more than 40 years in both the public and private sector. She is the previous Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Chamber of Mine and was the first woman in Africa to have held that role. She has also held political roles in Ghana from the early years of the PNDC government.

She is currently the Executive Director of Salt and Light Ministries, a para-church organization. She is an Honorary Council Member of the Ghana Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Advisors. From 1982 to 1985 Dr. Aryee was appointed by Ex-President of Ghana Jerry John Rawlings as the Secretary of information for the PNDC. From 1985 to 1987 she was Minister of Education, and in 1987–88 Minister of Local Government. From 1988 to 2001 she was Minister of Democracy in the Office of the Prime Minister, and from 1993 to 2001 a Member of the National Defence Council.

Dr. Aryee is the founder and. She also runs the Joyce Aryee Consult, which focuses in the areas of Management and Communications. She serves as a Board Member on several boards such as the Kinross Chirano Gold Mine Ghana board, the Mentoring Women Ghana board, and the Roman Ridge School Academic board. Dr. Aryee serves as the chair of Harmonious Chorale, a music group in Ghana. She is the founder currently Executive Director of Salt & Light Ministries, a para-church organization, a ministry set to encourage and motivate the Body of Christ. Auntie Joyce is also the First Patron Extraordinaire of the Accra Mining Network.

Albert Bartlett-Mingle

Regional Internal Controller, Ecobank Anglophone West Africa

Albert Bartlett-Mingle is the (comprising Ghana, Liberia, Gambia, Sierra Leone and Guinea) and the Head of Internal Control, Ecobank Ghana Limited. He is a member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation Ghana. Albert is a Certified Risk Based Auditor (CRBA) and has led a number of audit teams in Ecobank and other institutions. He holds an MBA Finance from the University of Leicester, a Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM) degree and a Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast.

Albert started his career as an auditor/tax advisor at the then Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC). In 1998 he joined Ecobank Ghana as an Accounting Officer for the Ecobank Stockbrokers Limited, then a subsidiary of the bank. He joined the Internal Control and Audit Department in 2000 where he has played different roles. In 2007, Albert was seconded to Ecobank Sierra Leone to set up the Audit and Compliance function in the newly opened affiliate and was involved training new staff. He returned to Ecobank Ghana in 2008 and was appointed Head of Audit & Compliance. He also had a Regional Audit responsibility over the WAMZ Region till 2009 when the Regional Offices were detached from the affiliates.

Albert has led a number of audit teams in Ecobank and other institutions in a career spanning 20 years. In December 2019, he moved from Internal Audit to Internal Control.

Albert is also an ordained Apostle of Gospel Light International Church where he served as the National Youth Pastor from 2009 to 2019. He currently serves as the Chief of Staff and associate pastor at the Phenomenal Faith Cathedral branch. He is married to Ekua and they are blessed with four children.

Kobby Osei-Kusi

Founder & CEO, Pirl Technology

Mr. Osei-Kusi is the founder of Pirl Technology, a fast-growing hardware startup making power electronics for consumer and industrial applications.

Before Pirl, He was a Senior Project Developer and an M&A finance professional with The AES Corporation based in Arlington, VA. While at AES, he executed several power infrastructure development projects in Ghana, Benin and Nigeria, including the development of the 300MW gas-fired barge project in Lagos, Nigeria. Prior to AES, he was an investment banker at Credit Suisse in New York, focusing on equity and debt transactions for global industrial companies. He has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics from St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY.

Ms. Giselle J. Malawer

Holistic Lifestyle Specialist, London, UK

Giselle is a Holistic Lifestyle Practitioner specialising in The Alexander Technique, the re-education of the muscular-skeletal system, and psychophysical unit.
With over 23 years of experience, her passion for teaching continues to grow and evolve as she helps her clients to confidently transform the way they look, feel, move, and perform, enabling them to access their full potential and live their lives on purpose!

Giselle has worked in a number of companies and clinics to introduce the Alexander Technique. Previous clients include: Harrods, M&S, Music Alliance, The Job Centre, 2Simple Software, The British Library, and The Wyndham Physiotherapy Centre, Hatton Garden.  She has delivered Alexander Introductory Courses in health clubs, master classes and training workshops for physiotherapists, radiographers, personal trainers, pilates and yoga teachers as well as hospital staff at the University College of London Hospital.

She was featured on the channel 4 TV programme Child Genius – as an Alexander Teacher for one of the contestants who was suffering with asthma.
She has recently written a chapter for the upcoming book “How to Future-proof your Child – The New Norm” in collaboration with a small group of authors.

Giselle runs creative, fun, holistic workshops that can be delivered in person or online. Her workshops can be tailor made to suit children, teenagers, adults, seniors, corporate, entrepreneurs, mumpreneurs, performing artists, and sports people as well as fun family workshops, to include children, parents and grandparents!

She is a global connector and networker and enjoys helping people to create an amazing life and lifestyle.  She says: “It’s not about making a living, but more about making a difference! ”

Giselle is the founder of Back in Balance, a Member of the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (MSTAT) and a member of the CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council).

Mr. Martin Bioh

Healthcare Consultant

Mr. Bioh is a proven operations leader with extensive experience leading various services lines with powerful outcomes. He collaborated with multi- disciplinary teams to recover $1.8m of uncollected revenue in a year. He develops, executes, and communicates evidence business strategies to support target services and is excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills with ability to interact with individuals from a variety of disciplines. He managed business operations for the CEO and IHVI research, including trending foundation and research scorecards and financials, and overseeing strategic financial operations for faculty and leadership team.

Dr. Theresa Mannah-Blankson

Professor of Economics

Dr. Theresa Mannah-Blankson is a professional economist with a combination of over 10 years of experience working within the policy arena and academia.

Currently, she is a teaching professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in the USA. Before joining the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in August 2019, she taught at Messiah University in Pennsylvania for three years as an Assistant Professor of Economics. Theresa also worked for five years as a macro-economist at the Bank of Ghana, reporting directly to the Monetary Policy Committee from 2004 to 2010. She has served in many other consultancy roles in economic development. Her expertise ranges from debt sustainability, gender inequality, bureaucratic corruption, and financial sector policies and their impact on households and economic development in the global south.

Dr. Mannah-Blankson received her Ph.D. and MA in Economics in 2016 from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, USA. She also holds an MPhil in Economics and a BA in Economics and Management from the University of Ghana, Legon.

Theresa has a commitment to improving the lives of the marginalized in society using her research work and her involvement with organizations equally committed to such causes. Grace Mary Moyd

Executive Director, Thrive Global Project

Grace has worked with non-profits and social enterprises to fundraise, develop and market handmade accessories for international operations, and plan trips to raise awareness and provide financial support in developing countries. She has consulted for global bike and Kauli, USA. Prior to entering the work force, she was an intern at the Tory Burch Foundation in New York, where she worked closely with women entrepreneurs looking to micro-finance domestically. She also worked on a seasonal basis with the Aspen Institute in Aspen, Colorado specifically for their largest event of the year- the Ideas Festival. She now enjoys her time going back to her first love: providing educational resources to students as the Executive Director at Thrive Global Project.

Ms. Sheila Otu-Boateng

General Manager, Ostec Limited

Sheila is a Management and Operations executive with over 10 years of experience in executing financing, budgeting, operations and contracting mandates in the US and Ghana.

She is currently the General Manager at Ostec Ltd, leading IT Infrastructure and Managed Services company in Ghana and also the only indigenous technology company with both ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certifications. She previously worked with USAID Financing Ghanaian Agriculture Project (FinGAP) as the Operations Manager and prior to that was the Deputy Director of Management & Operations with the United States Peace Corps in Accra.

Sheila has an MBA in Finance from Coventry University, UK and a BA in Economics with Management Concentration from Ohio Wesleyan University, USA.

She is passionate about children and teens and has been actively involved in an outpost outreach that caters to inner-city children and teens.

Dr. Yukiyo Oda

Researcher

Ghana is Yukiyo’s second home. She has years of experience in socio-economic research and Japan’s official development corporation in Ghana.

She lives in Japan where she currently works with a Japanese company which connects her to Ghana and other African countries even closer.

Faith Selassie Dunyo

CEO, SEL Logistics Services, Gh. Ltd.

Faith is a former Country Manager in Ghana for Global Access Logistics with headquarters in Singapore. He currently serves as CEO of Sel Logistics Services, a freight forwarding company based at the Tema harbour in Ghana.

He holds a BSc degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the Pentecost University in Ghana.

Ms. Susie Kissiedu

Susie is a dedicated health care professional with over 20 years’ experience. She has a fantastic heart to help the vulnerable and this she does through her healthcare work as well as through her other charitable and philanthropic projects. Her dedication to helping humanity is invaluable, particularly at this time of unprecedented uncertainty.

Grace Afua Annabi

Teacher and Business Entrepreneur

Grace Annabi, visually impaired but not disabled, is a teacher and a business entrepreneur.

She graduated from the University of Cape Coast where she pursued a programme in Bachelor of Education in Art. She also served as the Vice President of the Ghana Blind Union in 2016/2017, while in the University of Cape Coast.

Grace is a teacher at the Mpoho Senior High School where she teaches History. In addition to her profession as a teacher, she has acquired vocational skills in soap making and baking which also serve as a diversified source of income.

She is very passionate about imparting young people with knowledge as well as counseling and guiding young people from all walks of life in making important and critical decisions in their lives.

Grace is a proud beneficiary of the Osei-Kusi Foundation’s scholarship scheme and her goal is to reach out to all young people, especially the physically challenged by empowering them to rise above every obstacle and go for nothing but the best that life can offer them.
